Its eerie.. wasnt too fond of the graphics, but it was a fun game to help pass the time. lol One thing I question is, the part when you were stuck underground, and those skelton looking creatures, had a huge♥♥♥♥♥♥... just hangin out.... was odd.. but other then that I guess Id reccomend it.. Great music, great visuals. Good immersive environment. Less reliance on jump scares, leans more on feelings of despair, being trapped, etc. Solid effort. 3.5/5. Worth it at under $10.The "Meat & Potatoes" Review:The gameplay is VERY familiar. You are armed with your journal (for notes/hints) and your camera (for, well, taking pictures). As you take the pictures found throughout the scenes, you piece together the clues to this story. Stairs is actually inspired by real-life events (with a little fiction thrown in for good measure). The atmosphere is quite immersive, as the deeper down you go the more you become filled with anxiety and the feeling you really are trapped in some godless maze. The music definitley helps, as it is quite creepy and very well done. I love this soundtrack. While this game is not really groundbreaking in any way, it is good fun. It also seems to be quite linear, as nothing seems to be different while playing again. This may effect replayability for some, particularily those gamers that colelct ALL the hints before moving on to the next stage. All in all, it's a fine, solid effort from GreyLight Entertainment and Digital Tribe. 3.5/5and certainly worth under $10. Happy Gaming!!!. I definitely recommend this game! It has a great story, the bits and pieces come together as the story unfolds, but not in a normal way. There were no real jumpscares, but there were moments of tension and fear.The graphics are really good! I like that ; ) things look really amazing, and I've spend some time on this game just wondering around the maps enjoying the way things looked and worked.The puzzles aren't that hard, but they do requir some imagination and an open mind. For one puzzle I used a walkthrough because my game had a glitch. But that was also the only glitch I encountered.The story is great! the order in which the pieces of the story come to you makes it really cool, as a schizophrenic I had like 10 different ways in my head how this story could end but I wasnt 100% right :p Then there is something to say about the gameplay, I won't go into detail about that because it would spoil your fun. But believe me, the gameplay is really good!! The best thing is a new concept, which I haven't seen in any other game, it forces you to use it in a original and constructive way.So in general, it's a really good game! besides one glitch, it's definitely worth it's money. Oh and you will poop your pants a couple of times! ; ). WAYYYYYYYYY To Buggy and well unplayable. Fell under the map as well and couldnt get out an reloaded las checkpoint... same thing. Superb atmosphere, level design, and audio. I never thought that it pulled any cheap punches, none of the scares were cheap or random. The scary moments were either well deserved or you knew it was coming but didn't know when. During my play, I really enjoyed both the ambient soundtrack and sound fx, but it was the silence that really surprised me. I haven't seen many games take advantage of not having any music playing, its just you and your footsteps and.....well, you'll find out. :)I recommend this. Well polished, great atmosphere. A bit short, but it wasn't that expensive of a game. I do have some technical issues that I think the developer could use to improve some instances of gameplay, but unless they contact me I won't waste anyone's time going through them here. I recommend this. You won't regret it.. Game's achievements are broken. So Please, if anyone can answer us -who can correct the game or erase that bug from game- read what we wrote in 2 years and correct the game codes please.
